Mrs. Agnes Wilcox Kersey, age 81, of Hazlehurst, passed away Saturday morning at her residence. Mrs. Kersey was born June 5, 1936 to the late Monroe and Fannie Mae Hand Wilcox, and was a native and lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, and was a seamstress. She was preceded in death by husband, Albert Kersey, son, Dudley Kersey, sister, Wanell Wilcox, and brothers, Fred, Homer, and Carlis Wilcox. Survivors include daughter, Shirley Kersey Whitley of Hazlehurst; brother, Billy Wilcox of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Christina Carter, Justin Bohannon, and Matthew Bohannon; great-grandchildren; Erin Michelle Shepard, Anna Nicole Carter, Kristin Leigh Shepard, Layton Matthew Bohannon, and Brayden Lane Bohannon. Visitation will be held Monday afternoon from 1-2 p.m. at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Agnes Wilcox Kersey, age 81, Hazlehurst.
