Ms. Agnes Chaney Rowell, age 102, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 on her birthday, at her residence. Mrs. Rowell was born March 10, 1914 in Coffee County to the late George P. Chaney and the late Hulda Minix Chaney. She was a Homemaker and of the Holliness Faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Reason Rowell, son, A.J. Rowell, daughter, Roselle Rowell Brunner, Five Sisters, Two Brothers and Five Grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn Miller of Bainbridge, Lula B. Burris of Lake City Fla, Vernell Rowell of Hazlehurst, Jewell Hett of Tampa Fla and Jeanette Martin of Tampa Fla; Sons, Al Rowell of Hazlehurst; Brothers, Sam L. Chaney of West Palm Beach Fla and W.P. Chaney of Douglas; several Grandchildren, several Great-Grandchildren and several Great-Great-Grandchildren, two Great-Great-Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at Hazlehurst City Cemetery at 2:00pm with Rev. Wayne Herrington, Rev. Randy Rowell and Rev. Rena Rowell officiating. The family may be contacted at the residence of Vernell Rowell, 57 Mark Hall Drive, Hazlehurst.
