Mr. A.J. Lewis, Sr., age 72, of Hazlehurst died Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Appling Healthcare.

Mr. Lewis was born March 02, 1948 in Jeff Davis County to the late Clinton Lewis and the late Geneva Creamer Lewis. He was retired as a welder for over forty years with Hazlehurst Mills and was a member of Bridgeford Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda McLain Lewis and sister, Connie Haynes. He was a doting grandfather who adored and lived for his grandchildren.

Survivors include his Sons and Daughters-In-Law, A.J. Jr. and Lisa Lewis and Waymon and Teresa Lewis all of Hazlehurst; Sister, Stella Summerlin of Hazlehurst; brother-in-law, Norman Haynes of Hazlehurst; brother-in-law Randy Sellers and sister-in-law, Agnes Sellers of Baxley; five Grandchildren, Austin Lewis, Nate Lewis, Ali Lewis, Drew Lewis, Savannah Kate Lewis and several nieces and Nephews also survived.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, July 27, 2020 at 11:00am at Bridgeford Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Brad Waters, Rev. Agnes Sellers and Rev. Randy Sellers officiating.
