Mrs. Alice Gibbs Browning, age 81, of Lumber City, died Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Mrs. Browning was born May 02, 1939 in Tattnall County to the late John Gibbs and the late Iona Purvis Gibbs.  She was formerly an LPN employed by Memorial Hospital in Vidalia and a member of Lumber City Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clayton Browning and son, Robbie Lee browning..

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph "Joey" Browning (Angie) of Lumber City and Jeffery Browning (Julia) of Dawsonville; children, Debbie Smith, John Higginbotham, Teresa Lee Higginbotham and Maria Kueber; eight grandchildren, several great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Georgia Baptist Children's Home or the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Program.
