Mrs. Alvalene Williamson Stone, age 76, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. Mrs. Stone was born April 22, 1942 in Appling County to the late Emmett Williamson and the late Minnie Aycock Williamson. She was retired from Douglas and Harper Industries and a member of Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Allen Stone of Hazlehurst; daughter, Cindy Stapleton (Aciano) of Hazlehurst; sons, Allen Lee Stone (Angie) of Hazlehurst and Jody Lynn Stone (Jamie) of Hazlehurst; sister, Faye Lewis of Fla.; brother, Harold Williamson of Baxley; four grandchildren, Courtney Stapleton, Justin Strickland, Nicole Davis and Zachery Stone; four great-grandchildren, Addison Hughes, Aurora Hughes, Christopher Wilcox and Chloe Wilcox; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation and Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 1:00pm and the funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Steve Toler officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence, 27 Tyler Lane, Hazlehurst.
