Mrs. Amy Lynn Davenport, age 86, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, July 15 at Hazlehurst Court Care. Mrs. Davenport was born October 18, 1930 in Appling County to the late Hollis and Cynthia Clark Lynn. She was a House wife and member of Hazlehurst Church of God. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dave Davenport, grandson, Brandon Waters, sister, Jaunice Hesters, brothers, Jarman Lynn and Howard Lynn. Survivors include daughters, Toni Hughes of Hazlehurst, Marie (Grover) Edge of Hazlehurst; step-daughter, Sheri Gibe of New Jersey; sons, William Davenport, Robin (Brenda) Davenport, Joe (Gay) Davenport, Terry (Jackie) Davenport and Kenny (Jackie) Davenport all of Hazlehurst; sisters, Beulah Williams and Camille Kimball; numerus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11:00am at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Smith and Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Davenport will lie in state one hour prior to service.
