Aubrey Dale Herndon, age 65, of Lumber City, died Monday, March 12, 2018 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Mr. Herndon was born February 26, 1953 in Jeff Davis County to the late Vernon Herndon and the late Lorene Brown Walker. He was a Carpenter and is preceded in death by his sisters, Esther Blair and Darlene Cleghorn. Survivors include his sisters, Diane Montford of Uvalda, Pat Lee (Ricky) of Lumber City and Denise Durden of Lumber City; brothers, Richard Herndon of Hazlehurst and Jap Herndon of Lumber City; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation and Memorial Services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 2:00pm and Memorial will follow at 3:00 with Rev. Thomas Colter officiating. The family may be contacted at the residence of Lesi Bivins, Hwy #19, Lumber City. In lieu of flowers, family request donations can be made to the funeral home.
