Mrs. Audrey Carter Ford, age 87, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Ford was born February 04, 1931 in Jeff Davis County to the late Charlie A. Carter and the late Sally Jane Ray Carter. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County, was a retired nurse with Jeff Davis Hospital and member of the Hazlehurst Church of God. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. Ford and son, Jackie Ford. Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Taylor of Hazlehurst and Charlene Hamm of Baxley; sons, Charles J. Ford of Largo FL. and Jimmy Ford of Thompson; sister, Dorothy Johnson of Orlando; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery with Rev. Julian Strom and Rev. John Nunes officiating. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Audrey Carter Ford, age 87, of Hazlehurst.
