Mr. Bane Courson, age 71, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. Mr. Courson was born April 06, 1946 in Appling County to the late Everett Courson and the late Toye Carter Courson. He was retired from Propex and a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Hesters Courson. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Chris Hutchison, Alisha and Chris Powell, Brittnay and Jon Spell, Mandy McRae and Anita and Hal Hesters; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Stormie Taylor; sisters, Kathy and Paul Wilkes and Patty and Michael Rea; brother, Larry and Judy Courson; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 02, 2018 at 2:00pm at Mt Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Gardner, Rev. Allen Rae and Rev. Royce Hulett officiating. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. Mr. Courson will lie in state one hour prior to service time. The family may be contacted at the residence of his daughter, Pam and Chris Hutchison, 94 Dr. Turfler Road, Hazlehurst. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Mt. Zion Learning Center.
