Barbara Ray Swain, age 56, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Swain was born July 31, 1958 in Jeff Davis County. She was the owner and operator of New Beginnings and member of the First United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her Father, Johnny Ray. Survivors include her Husband, Joe Swain Jr. of Hazlehurst; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Joseph and Leann McNeal of Savannah; Daughter and Son-in-law, Shauna and John Riggs of Statesboro; Mother, Georgie Ray of LaGrange; Four Sisters, Sandra (Ricky) Adams of AL., Opal (Gene) Hogg, Nita (Toby) Jeffcoat and Jonna (Norman) Ussery all of LaGrange; Two Brothers, Richard (Heather) Ray of Albany and Trampus Ray of LaGrange; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 3:00pm at Oakland Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Hulett and Rev. Bobby Gale officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Swain will lie in state one hour prior to service.
