Mrs. Betty J. Nash, age 78, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia.

Mrs. Nash was born April 27, 1942 in Jeff Davis County. She is preceded in death by her parents William P. Grimes and Margie Beatrice Stapleton Grimes. She was a graduate of Jeff Davis County High School Class of 1960, she enjoyed cooking for others and a retired Security Officer with Georgia Power. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she faithfully served in the Women's Ministry.

Survivors include her husband, James Thomas Nash, Sr. (J.T.) of Hazlehurst; daughter, Gina Stinson (Marie Aubin) of Green Cove Springs FL; son, Tom Nash of Hazlehurst; sister, Patricia Bush of Hazlehurst, brother, Edward Grimes of Hazlehurst, and sister, Elaine Hall (David) of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Emily Card (Ryan) of Orlando and William Stinson of Jacksonville FL; nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 at      11:00am in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery with Rev. Deek Dubberly and Rev. Jeffery Spell officiating.

Contributions can be made to Community Hospice House in Vidalia or Southside Baptist Church in Hazlehurst.
