Mrs. Betty Ward Varnadoe, age 85, of Lumber City, died Saturday, April 25, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Varnadoe was born November 02, 1934 in Telfair County to the late Thomas Drew Ward and the late Bessie Cravey Ward. She was a retired Accountant with Brian Center Nursing Home and a member of the Lumber City Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Comer Varnadoe and brother, William Harold Ward.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Gil Sally of Lumber City and Sharon and Glenn Browning of Lumber City; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jerry Ann Varnadoe of Lumber City and  Greg Varnadoe of McRae; thirteen grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, April 27, 2020 at 11:00am in the Riverside Cemetery with Rev. David Deen      officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lumber City  Baptist Church, P.O. Box  297, Attn treasurer, Lumber City Ga. 31549.
