Blake Carter, age 65, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, March 01, 2015 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mr. Carter was born September 30, 1949, in Appling County to the late John Wallace Carter and the late Wanda Quinn Carter. He was employed with Jeff Davis County as Director of Jeff Davis County EMS and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include his Daughter, Jodie Creamer of Hazlehurst; Son, Jason Carter of Atlanta; Two Sisters, Johnsie Newman of Denton and Rena Farmer of Hazlehurst; Three Grandchildren, Reanna Creamer, Rylie Brooke Creamer and Tucker Creamer also survived. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 03, 2015 at 11:00AM at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow in Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery in Appling County. The family may be contacted at the residence of Rena Farmer, 17 Satilla Cove Road, Hazlehurst.
