Mr. Bobby Stokes, age 80, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Lumber City Nursing Home.

Mr. Stokes was born September 13, 1939 in Denton to the late Sam Howell Stokes and the late Agnes Long Stokes. He was a farmer, retired from Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Denton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Stokes and brother-in-law, Hubert Matthews.

Survivors include his sister, Betty Jo Stokes Matthews of Hazlehurst; nieces and nephews, Karen Lee of McDonough, Gail Antwine (Jimmy) of Statham and Michael Matthews of Alpine, AL.; special cousin, Roy (Marie) Ellis of Augusta and Marvine Hill of Jacksonville, FL.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 10:00am in the Denton Cemetery with Mr. Roy Ellis giving a Eulogy and Rev. Van McCall officiating.
