Mrs. Bruner Mills Sears (Mrs. Bo Sears), age 97, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Sears was born September 01, 1920 in Telfair County to the late Will Mills and the late Roxie Harrison Mills. She was the co-owner and operator of Sears Gulf Station many years ago and later became a housewife. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Ervin Sears, Sr. Survivors include daughter, Betty Ann Powell (Friend, James McIntyre); of Hazlehurst son, Wesley Sears Jr. of Hazlehurst; sister, Bernice Sears of Atlanta; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Timmy Josey and Rev. Tyron Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence of her daughter, Betty Ann Powell, 27 E. First Avenue, Hazlehurst.
