CARLA JUNE WALSH Carla June Walsh, 54, of Sanford, North Carolina left her home on January 31, 2016 and was welcomed into the arms of her Savior and Lord to live in her new home for eternity. She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband Richard H. Walsh and her beloved dog Pepper. She was born in Cadillac, Michigan to Carlotta J. (Myers) Palozzilo and Daniel Boehle. She attended school in Cadillac. As a teenager, she moved to Sanford to live with her mother and step-father, G. Robert Tobia, in the late 1970s, where she attended Lee County High School and also played saxophone in the marching band. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Jessica J. White and husband, Alex Beardsley of Raleigh, NC. Her son, Michael D. White and wife, Iris White of San Francisco. A grandson, James Dylan White of Raleigh, NC. Her mother and stepfather, Carlotta (Michael) Palozzilo of Merritt, Michigan and Daniel (June) Boehle of Harrietta, Michigan. Her sisters, Pamela (Steve) Ruzic of Garland, Texas, Camille (Paul) Lipke of Harrietta, Michigan and Melody (Alade) Aleshinloye of Sugar Grove, North Carolina. She is also survived by her step-sisters, Vicki (Sean) Suttle of Colorado, Elisabeth Weston, Christine (Steve) Maurer, Becky (Roger) Jones, and Tammy (Shannon) Leifker of Michigan. Stepbrothers, Dean (Ann) Shetenhelm and Tony Shetenhelm of Michigan. Predeceased are her maternal grandparents Nina (Burger) Myers and Claude N. Myers Sf. of Merritt, Michigan and paternal grandparents Murcel (Albrecht) Boehle and Mark H. Boehle. Carla's musical accomplishments were numerous beginning with the piano and began teaching herself the alto saxophone. She was moved from the grade school band to the Sr. High Marching Band. Following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmothers before her, Carla was an accomplished pianist who played for San-Lee Chapel for 25 years and for the past four years, Carla had been a member of, and pianist for, Hillview Christian Assembly. She was also a song writer and singer. Her passion for the Children's Ministry and teaching was like none other. Her life was all about Jesus and it showed in everything she did. She loved people with an unselfish love. She was a self-employed painter and interior decorator who has had her work shown in the Southern Living magazine. Carla loved cooking, baking, arts and crafts and many other talents too numerous to mention. Friends and family visitation will be held at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home in Hazlehurst, GA on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 12 to 2:00 p.m. Graveside Services will follow in the Denton Cemetery in Denton, Georgia at 2:30 p.m. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home will be in charge of all local arrangements for Carla June Walsh, age 54, of Sanford, North Carolina.
