Mrs. Carolyn Cook Conner, age 72, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, June 14, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Conner was born July 25, 1947 in Jeff Davis County.

She was the retired owner and operator of Cook Insurance Company   and  of Carolyn's Twirling and Dance Studio where she enjoyed teaching for many years. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father, Claude Parker Cook, and mother, Sara Ellen Eason Cook, grandchild, Brian Smith and great-grandchild, Kenna Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Conner of Hazlehurst; four daughters and sons-in-law, Caroline Trowell Post (Lester) of Waynesboro, Leigh Trowell Poe (Joel C. Poe, Jr), Angie Trowell Parlor (Ken) of Hazlehurst and Marci Trowell Williams (Nile) of Hazlehurst; step-children, Wendy Conner Smith (Ronnie) of Cochran, Cindy Conner Dykes (Troy) of Sylvester and Stacy Conner (Danielle) of Cochran; brother, Claude Parker Cook, Jr. of Bluffton S.C.; sister, Saralyn Cook Sears of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Hampton Wade, Hagen Wade, Tyson Post, Claudia Post, Karleigh Kight Carter, Sarabeth Kight, Savannah Poe, Kesleigh Poe, Kori Ellen Parlor, Kollin  (Moo) Parlor, Aiden Williams, Madison Williams, Darton Stankowitz, Brad Smith, Amye Phinazee, Shayne Conner, Macy Rewis, Hayden Conner;  great-grandchildren, Chandler Rewis, Cohen Smith and Addie Stewart; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 5:00pm Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Yankee Paradise (former Claude P. Cook Homeplace) with Rev. Troy Dykes and Rev. Deek Dubberly officiating.

Private family Graveside services will follow immediately in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.

Mrs. Conner will lie in state one hour prior to service time.

Any prior students of Carolyn's Twirling and Dance Studio will serve as honorary pallbearers.
