Ms. Carolyn Lord Peavey, of Hazlehurst, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, at her residence.

Ms. Peavey was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Lord and Stella York Lord, sister, Daphene Lord, brother, Alvin Lord and nephew, Edward Lord.

She was previously involved in Health Care as a CNA and attended Zoar Methodist Church. She loved to cook, read and write letters to friends and family. She enjoyed the outdoors, also growing and taking care of her roses.  She will surely be missed by her family and all her pets, Blaze her dog, three cats and two birds, Petey and tweetie.

Her family survivors include, two daughters, Amanda Diane Peavey of Hazlehurst and Shannon Blanton of Baxley; two sons, Dean Thomilson of Douglas and Adam Peavey of Hazlehurst; sister, Patricia Lord of Perry; two brothers, Ralph Lord of Centerville and Carol Lord of Perry; eight grandchildren, Sabrina Faught, Billy Peavey, Alex Peavey, Shelby Peavey, David Thomilson, Destiny Thomilson, Dawn Thomilson, and Erica Thomilson; three great-grandchildren, Kylee Peavey, Emerson Faught and Eli Faught.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Taylor officiating.
