Chantay Edwards, age 50 of Macon, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Medical Center of Central Georgia. Chantay was born September 29, 1965 in Coffee County. She has resided in Macon for the last 30 years, was employed with Bibb County Board of Education as a Physical Education Teacher and Coach and was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church of Hazlehurst. She is preceded in death by her Father, Emmett Edwards Jr. Survivors include her Mother, Buella Jump Edwards of Hazlehurst; Aunts, Uncles and Cousins also survived. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Yawn and Rev. Robert Wigley officiating and Mrs. Rita Minter giving the Eulogy. Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Garden. Chantay will lie in state one hour prior to service. In Lieu of Flowers contributions can be made to a Charity of your choice.
