Charles Barnard, age 70, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, December 27, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah. Mr. Barnard was born April 6, 1943 in Jeff Davis County to the late David Levis Barnard and the late Madie Lou Griffis Barnard. He was retired from Continental Can and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda Barnard of Hazlehurst; two daughters, Rhonda Rivera and Kathy Willis both of Swainsboro; son, David Wally Barnard of Hazlehurst; sister, Karen Shepard of Hazlehurst; brother, Curtis Barnard of Nichols; two Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Royce Hulett, Rev. Prentice Herndon and Rev. Thomas Colter officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Family may be contacted at the residence, 1146 Altamaha Road, Hazlehurst.
