Mrs. Frances Christine Wood, age 86, of Hazlehurst passed away Thursday morning in the Hazlehurst Court Care. Mrs. Wood, the daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude Osborne McLemore, was a native of Toombs County having resided in Jeff Davis County for a number of years. She was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by husband James Thomas Wood; daughter, Linda Dale Carroll; grandson, Jimmy Wesley Robins. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Wood(Teresa), and Thomas Wood(Deborah) both of Hazlehurst; a special friend, Gloria Hayes of Vidalia; 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grands, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. till 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Wainright Parlor Funeral Home. Services will follow Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., with interment to be held in the Pinecrest Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. in Vidalia. The Rev. Jinker Horton will officiate.
