Mrs. Cloteel Carver Dawson, age 91, of Hazlehurst passed away Saturday night after an extended illness under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice. Mrs. Dawson, the daughter of the late Jimmie Carver, and Bernadean Smith Carver, was a native Coffee County, and resided in Jeff Davis County most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst. Mrs. Dawson was preceded in death by sister, Melcene C. Lacey; and brother, Willis Carver. After receiving a degree from South Georgia College and marrying Mrs. Dawson taught in the Altamaha School District until the birth of her son. She continued throughout her life to teach all around her how to love and serve others. As stated in Proverbs 31:13 she worked "with willing hands in delight.
