Ms. Connie Ray, age 63, of Douglas, formerly of Hazlehurst, passed away

Wednesday, August 04, 2021 at The Landing of Douglas, after battling a progressive disease for the past eight years.

Ms. Ray was born August 16, 1957 in McRae Georgia

She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Ray Jr. (Bill).

Connie was devoted to her work as finance director for a large non-profit in North Carolina. She loved nothing more than her time spent with her four granddaughters.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Kimberly Hansen of Valdosta; four granddaughters, Keely, Katie, Kassidy and Kendall Hansen; mother, Norma Ray of Brunswick; sister, Millie Ray Evans (Mike) of Brunswick; niece, Candice Morris Drawdy and Family.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 11:00am  at Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City with Rev. Keith Yawn officiating.

The Ray family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
