Daniel Davis, age 74, of Hazlehurst died April 1, 2013, at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mr. Davis was born September 29, 1938 in Jeff Davis County to the late Tom Davis and the late Pearl Crowley Davis. He was a retired bus driver and farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Shumans Davis and great-grandson, Zachary Douglas. Survivors include Daughter, Dianne (Jimmy) Rowland of Hazlehurst; Sons, Wadis (Denise) Davis and Dewayne (Candace) Davis both of Hazlehurst; Sisters, Elfrieda Dyal and Christine Shumans; Brothers, Roy Davis and Freddie Davis; Grandchildren, Becky Hall, Jessica Piper, Christopher Rowland, Dylan Davis, Victoria Davis, Cammie Davis, Kylie Edge and Cole Edge; Step-Grandchildren, Helen Sellers and Ronald Rowland; Great-Grandchild, Donovan Douglas; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wigley and Rev. Keith Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
