Mr. Danny Lee Burns, age 55, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, November 7, 2024.

He was born on March 7, 1969 in Lexington, NC and lived most of his life in Hazlehurst. He was Christian by faith and was very active in ministry and music. He served as a Registered Nurse for various hospitals and hospice facilities for many years. He was a gifted musician and truly loved everybody.

He is preceded in death by both of his fathers, Danny Lee Flack, and Emory Joe Burns.

Danny is survived by his son, Levi Burns (Hailey) of Hazlehurst; his daughters, Zoe Burns of Gainesville, FL and Maggie Burns of Atlanta; his mother, Janet Allen (James) of Alma; his brothers, Jason Burns (Carla) of Hazlehurst, and Joe Damon Burns (Alicia) of Jacksonville, FL; his sister, Danielle Spry Myers of Lexington, NC; his granddaughter, Scarlett Danny River Burns of Hazlehurst; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 A.M.
