David Leon Brewer, age 57, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, April 07, 2017, at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mr. Brewer was born August 23, 1959 in Bradenton; FL. but had resided most of his life in Jeff Davis County and was employed with ABC Logging. He is preceded in death by his dad, Arthur L. Brewer Jr., maternal grandparents, Fred and Vernie Chewning, paternal grandparents, Leon and Louise Brewer. Survivors include his spouse, Donna Brewer of Hazlehurst; daughters, Harley Brewer of Hazlehurst, Candice Brewer of Hazlehurst and Amy (Ashley) Waters of Hazlehurst; sons, Michael Brewer of Hazlehurst, Mark Sheppard, Jr. of Hazlehurst, Howard Johnson and Andy Johnson of Houston, TX; step-sons, Matt Walsh of Hazlehurst and Andrew Varnadore of Hazlehurst; mother, Lois Chewning Brewer of Hazlehurst; sister, Paula Griffin of Hazlehurst; brother, Willie Brewer of Lumber City; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 10, 2017, in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation starting at 1:00pm and funeral services to follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Billy Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. The family can be contacted at the home of Paula Griffin, 74 Wilson Street, Apt. A3, Hazlehurst.
