Mrs. Debbie Powell Thompson, age 63, of Lumber City died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Thompson was born July 26, 1954 in Bacon County. She is preceded in death by her father, Talmadge Eugene Powell and step-daughter, Candace Brown. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Thompson of Lumber City; daughter, Carla Watkins of Nahunta; two step-daughters, Holly Thompson of Lumber City and Heidi Toler of Six Miles South Carolina; son, James Carlton Deese of Wheeler County; mother, Wilma Jean Davis; sister, Teresa Spires of Milan; brothers, Archie Powell and Tim Deen; fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survived. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Debbie Powell Thompson, age 63, of Lumber City.
