Deborah Waveleen Phillips Wood, age 61, of Uvalda, died Sunday, December 03, 2017 at Meadows Regional Hospital in Vidalia. Mrs. Wood was born February 17, 1956 in Chattanooga Tenn. to the late Tommy Phillips and the late Margaret Maggard Phillips and was employed with Lumber City Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wood. Survivors include four sons and daughter-in-law, James Fleming of Uvalda, Brian and Cindy Fleming of Hazlehurst, Michael Fleming of Brunswick and Skylar Howell of Hazlehurst; sisters, Elizabeth Crews of Folkston and Rebecca Todd of Folkston; brothers, David Phillips of Hilliard, FL., Doyle Phillips of Folkston and Alford Atkins of Cumming; four grandchildren, Deborah Fleming, Brian Fleming Jr., Matthew Fleming and Lani Fleming; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 06, 2017 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. John Daughtry and Rev. David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30pm in the Sardis Cemetery in Folkston, Ga. The family can be contacted at the residence of Brian and Cindy Fleming, 18 Ashley Way, Hazlehurst.
