Mrs. Debbie Stone Horton, age 65, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, July 12, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Horton was born July 24, 1954 in Bacon County to the late Hudson Stone and the late Marion Crosby Stone. She was a Homemaker and she loved taking care of her family.

She was a member of Bridgeford Church of God and was preceded in death by her brother, Wilbur Stone, niece, Renee Crosby and nephew, Ryan Crosby.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Horton of Hazlehurst; three daughters, Tonya Lay of Hazlehurst, Shonda Lay of Hazlehurst and Leslie Horton (Brandon Creech) of Hazlehurst; sister, Beverly Stone Crosby (Lonnie) of Graham; brother, Ricky Stone (Ramona) of Hazlehurst; one grandson, Haydon Creech; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 6:00pm at the residence, 1 Yawn Cemetery Road, with Rev. Jinker Horton and Mr. Billy Yawn officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Beecher, Troy New, Travis Mason, Martin Lay, Debbie Thigpen, Faye Rewis Crews, Susan Hendrix, Rhonda Cothern, Buddy Cothern, Paul Bennett, Joel Carver, Grady Simpson, Roscoe and Jackie Hutcheson.
