Mr. Dewayne Douglas Wright, age 80, passed away Saturday October 24, 2020 at Community Hospice in Vidalia following an extended illness.

Mr. Wright was born December 31, 1939 in Elizabeth, New Jersey; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Dewayne Wright, Jr. & Edna Tracy Wright and a sister, Elaine Wright. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the United States Navy. He was of the Apostolic faith, who loved the Lord with all of his heart. He has made his home in Florida and Pennsylvania but for the past two years he has been transitioning his home to Georgia, where he intended to spend all his time with beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Jimmy) Watkins of Hazlehurst, four grandchildren, Kyle (Mandi) Krafczyk, Kailee Krafczyk, Keith Krafczyk and Kylie Krafczyk, four great-grandchildren, Lake Krafczyk, Lyle Krafczyk Asher Krafczyk and Kase Krafczyk, a sister, Jacqueline Bonsignore-Lilly of Texas, his friend, Linda Jackson of Orange Park, FL and his nieces and nephew

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October, 28, 2020 at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Royce Hulett officiating.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Wright family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
