Mrs. Dixie Lou Jones Smith, age 64, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born August 1, 1950 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was retired from the State of Georgia and was a member of Elbethel Church. She was preceded in death by her Father, Bob T. Jones. Survivors include her husband, Dave Smith of Hazlehurst; Three Daughters, Carmen and Ben Leggett of Hazlehurst, Regina and Shane Hughes of Hazlehurst, and Monica and Travis Housley of Blackshear; One Son, Bryan H. Sapp of Hazlehurst; Mother, Marjorie Porter of Lawton, Oklahoma; Two Sisters, Judy and Eddie Akers and Melissa Lutz of Lawton, Oklahoma; Six Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Monday, November 17, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11:00AM at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry McKinnon officiating. Interment will follow at Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
