Obituary

Donald Wooten, age 82, of Snipesville, died Friday, October 19, 2018 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas. Mr. Wooten was born March 05, 1936 in Jeff Davis County to the late Glenn Wooten and the late Evelyn Joyce Wooten. He was a Farmer, retired from Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Mt Pleasant Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Faye Smith Wooten and Christine Taylor Wooten, twin sons, Ronald and Randall Wooten. Survivors include, daughter, DeLeice Wood; step-daughters, Sue (Daniel) Reid, Mary Tapley and Janice (Darrin) Toole; sons, Vann (Tabatha) Wooten and Michael Wooten; sister, Winona Hartung; brothers, Thomas Wooten, Ray Wooten and Olin Wooten; nine Grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; special friend, Hazle Fountain; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 3:00pm at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Kenyon Fennell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Wooten will lie in state one hour prior to service. The family may be contacted at the residence of Vann and Tabatha Wooten, 466 W.H. Smith Road, Denton. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Donald Wooten, age 82, of Snipesville.
