Donna Hutto Powell, age 54, of Denton, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Candler Hospital in Savannah. Mrs. Powell was born May 1, 1959 in Jeff Davis County. She was retired from Jeff Davis County Health Department and is a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Royce Powell and her father, Bo Hutto. Survivors include a Daughter, Jade Rena Powell of Denton, Son, Jeremy Royce Powell of Atlanta; Mother, Marilyn Hutto of Hazlehurst; Sisters, Lisa Elton of Hazlehurst and Vicki Hutto of Tampa, FL.; Grandson, Dylan Dennis and three nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00am at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Kenyon Fennell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Powell will lie in state 1 hour prior to service.
