Dorsey Robert Crawford, age 68, of Lumber City, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Crawford was born July 13, 1950 in Jeff Davis County to the late Hugh Dorsey Crawford and the late Ella Mae Taylor. He was retired from Telfair County Forrester Products and a member of the National Guards. He is preceded in death by three sisters, JoAnn Ramlo, Betty Crawford and Kathy Crawford. Survivors include his wife; Cheryl Darice Varnadoe of Lumber City;2 daughters, Shonda Smith of Alma and Sheyanne Partin; son, Shane Smith of Alma; step-daughter, Meri (T.C.) Kinett; step-son Lee (Summer) Bunting; sisters, Virginia Metts, Sylvia Crawford, Shirley Hayward and Karen Swainger; brothers, Bobby Crawford, Ronald Crawford and David Crawford; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation and funeral services will be held Sunday, October 28, 2018 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 1:00pm and funeral will follow at 3:00pm with Rev. Ashley Tyree officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Dorsey Robert Crawford, age 68, of Lumber City.
