Mr. Earl James Haggard, age 85, of Lumber City, died Monday, March 11, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Haggard was born January 25, 1934 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to the late Jess James Haggard and the late Dolly Belle Hale Haggard. He was a retired Veteran of the United Sates Army serving tours in Vietnam, Korean, Germany and in Greece and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ward Haggard; three daughters, Vecha (Poopsie) Williams (Jimmy White), Darice Varnadoe and Debbie Outlaw; son, Jonathan Earl Goss (Taylor Goss); six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Springhill Baptist church, visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm and funeral services will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Niles Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the Haggard residence, 38 Wismer Street, Lumber City.
