Terry Hughes, age 59, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, October 02, 2017 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Hughes was born April 24, 1958 in Jeff Davis County to the late Horace (Mutt) Thornton, Sr. and the late Mary Edith Parlor Thornton. Terry was the Assistant Manager of Dollar General, was always super nice to all her customers and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her husband, David Hughes of Hazlehurst; daughter, Regina Hughes Sandiford of Lumber City; sisters, Brenda Roberson of Baxley, Mary Sharpe of Hazlehurst and Sherry Newell of Hazlehurst; brother, Horace (Snooky) Thornton Jr. of Hazhurst; three grandchildren, Bethanie Hulette, Blakelee Sandiford and Brylon Sandiford; three great-grandchildren, Jackson Hulette, Jaceston Hulette and Chloey Hulette; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 04, 2017, at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Andrews and Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. The family can be contacted at the residence of Will and Bethanie Hulette, 266 Baxley Hwy., Hazlehurst.
