Edna Mae Ray Sellers, age 83, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, March 03, 2017 in Baxley Hospital. Mrs. Sellers was born May 09, 1933 in Hinesville to the late Shepard Ray and the late Opal Lewis Ray. She resided most of her life in Hazlehurst, was a floral designer and a member of Oakview Baptist Church. Mrs. Sellers is preceded in death by her husband, Martin A. Sellers, sisters, Frankie Ray Carter, Annie Mae Ray Burdette, Rosa Lee Ray Herrin and Beatrice Ray Talley, brother, Johnny Richard Ray, sister-in-law, Patsy Ray. Survivors include two daughters, Ceretha Sellers of Hazlehurst and Shelba Blount (Gary) of St. Marys; Son, Randall Sellers (Linda) of Waycross; sister, Rebecca Stone (Lloyd) of Baxley, brothers, Walter Ray (Carol) of Valdosta, Howard Ray (Faye) of Hazlehurst and James Ray of Waycross; Ten Grandchildren, Seventeen Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 2:00-4:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 06, 2017 at 2:00pm at Oakview Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Tuten and Rev. David Barber officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Sellers will lie in state one hour prior to service.
