Obituary

Elizabeth Hall, age 75, of Lumber City, died Sunday, July 02, 2017 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. Mrs. Hall was born April 16, 1942 in Wheeler County to the late Lucas W. Hall and the late Marietta McAlum Hall. She was retired from Frank's Pharmacy and member of the Lumber City Baptist Church where she played the organ for several years. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Carver. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Rev. Alvin Merritt of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Brandon (Heather) Merritt of McRae, Brent Merritt of Hazlehurst and John Carver of Hazlehurst; great-grandchildren, Caleb Merritt, Caylee Merritt and Carson Merritt. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 11:00am at Lumber City Baptist Church with Rev. Ashley Tyre and Rev. Alvin Merritt officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City. Mrs. Hall will lie in state one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Lumber City Baptist Church. The family can be contacted at the residence of Tammy and Rev. Alvin Merritt, 636 Old Graham Road, Hazlehurst, Ga. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Elizabeth Hall, age 75, of Lumber City.
