Emmitt Lamar Waters, age 70, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, April 03, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Waters was born October 08, 1947 in Jeff Davis County to the late Linton Waters and the late Lorene Cothern Waters. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines, retired LPN with Union General Hospital in Blairsville and member of Southside Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his son, Brandon Waters. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lesia Waters; two sons, Gregory Lamar Waters and Joseph Ashley Ricketson; sister, Sue Ray (Roger); brother, Johnny Waters (Becky); two grandchildren, Kale Ricketson and Anniston Waters; several nieces and nephews also survived. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, April 05, 2018 at 11:00am in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Deke Dubberly officiating. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Emmitt Lamar Waters, age 70, of Hazlehurst.
