Mr. Eugene Sellers, age 80, of Hazlehurst, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at his residence under the care of Coastal Hospice.
Mr. Sellers was born on February 16, 1946, in Hazlehurst. He was the son of the late Willie Sellers and Willie Mae Cooner Sellers.
He was a Veteran of the United States National Guard and was employed with Hazlehurst Mills for several years. He was a person that worked hard all of his life, truly had great work ethics and loved his family dearly, especially his grands. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, April Sewell, sisters, Jewell Sellers Powell, Raylene Sellers Waters, brothers, Lamar Sellers, Juanice Sellers, John Low Sellers, Homer Sellers, and Donnie Sellers.
Mr. Sellers is survived by his wife, Marsha Benson Sellers of Hazlehurst; four sons, Gregory Eugene Sellers of Waynesville, James Sewell of Darien, John (Lorie) Sewell of South Carolina and Dale (Stephanie) Thompson of Tenn.; daughter, Marie Smith of South Carolina; sisters, Sherry Carter Lewis of Baxley and Ann Baucom of Hazlehurst; nine grandchildren, Skyler Sewell, Paige Rojas, Blake Thompson, Lindsey Westenhouser, Christopher Smith, Bridgette Sewell, Kevin Sewell, Paul Herrin, Tiffany Padilla and Heather Sewell, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
The family may be contacted at the Sellers residence, 371 Lumber City Highway, Hazlehurst. Please keep this family in your prayers.
At this time no services will be held.
Wainright Parlor Funeral Home and the Sellers Family are in charge of arrangements.
