Mrs. Evelyn Dixon Beecher, age 87, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Mrs. Beecher was born March 23, 1933 in Jeff Davis County, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late John Dixon and Birdie Mae Dixon, husband, Allen O. Beecher and two brothers, Gerald Dixon and Ronald Dixon. She has made her home in Hazlehurst for the past 61 years after living and traveling as a military wife with her husband, Allen. She owned and operated Evelyn's Artistry in Hair Fashion for over 20 years. She was also a member of Satilla Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Vickie) Beecher of Conyers, Steve (Wanda) Beecher of Ambrose and Rick (Valerie) Beecher of Dunwoody, a brother, Harry (Terry) Dixon of Hazlehurst, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Paul Smith officiating.
