Mrs. Faye Orvin Beck, age 83, of Hazlehurst passed away November 25, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Beck was born January 7, 1934 to Alexis and Ella Mae Orvin, and was a native of Appling County having resided in Jeff Davis most of her life. She was retired from Ero Manufacturing Co, and was a member of the Hazlehurst Church of God. Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by husband, Clinton Beck; brothers, Buster, Frank, Sammy, Bob, and Cecil Orvin; sisters, Geneva Simmons, and Eleanor Vickory. Survivors include daughters, Linda (Delyn) Atwell of Dothan Ala, and Rhonda (John) Brown of McRae; sons, James (Sherry) Beck, and Larry Beck of Hazlehurst; sisters, Winnie (Doug) Carter of Atlanta, and Willie Altman of Alma; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family may be contacted at the family residence at 1080 Douglas Hwy., Hazlehurst. Visitation will be held Monday afternoon from 2-3p.m., prior to the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Satilla Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Faye Orvin Beck, age 83, of Hazlehurst.
