Fred Beecher, age 65, of Baxley, died March 19, 2014 at Appling Health Care System. Mr. Beecher was born August 23, 1948 to the late Brice Clifton Beecher and the late Sallie Mae Craven Beecher. He was a member of Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnee Beecher, Ken Beecher, Pete Beecher, Tommy Beecher, Wilton Beecher and Randall Beecher. Survivors include Sister, Frances and Edwin Johnson of Baxley; Brothers, Franklin and Cheryl Beecher of Darien and Michael and Charlotte Beecher of Baxley; Sisters-In-Law, Martha Beecher of Baxley and Emily Beecher of Hazlehurst; Special Friend, Larry Varnadoe and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00PM at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church at 1:00pm with Rev. Wayne Williamson and Mr. Jeffery Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Beecher will lie in state 1 hour prior to service time.
