Frederick Henry Callahan, age 72, of Baxley died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. Mr. Callahan was born March 2, 1941 in Lee County to the late William Lynnwood Callahan and the late Hazel Holt Callahan. He had lived in Appling County for the past 14 years and was a retired Cattleman. Survivors include his Daughter, Dawn Callahan of Baxley; Two Sons, John Callahan of Social Circle, Georgia and Hank Callahan of Hazlehurst; Brothers, Bill Callahan of Lafayette, AL and Emmett Callahan of Carnsville, GA.; Sister, Dianne Batman of Madison FL.; Eight Grandchildren, two Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 3:00Pm at Oakland Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Hulett officiating. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Frederick Henry Callahan, age 72, of Baxley.
