Mr. Gary "Pops" Brinkley, age 69, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.

Mr. Brinkley was born July 13, 1950 in Wayne County to the late Eulis Lawrence Brinkley and to the late Nellie Griffis Brinkley, but had resided in Hazlehurst. He was an owner/operator truck driver for majority of his life and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Hannah Brinkley.

Survivors include his former wife, Patsy Brinkley; his children, daughter, Nakayla Sellers of Hazlehurst; four sons, Gary Jamar Brinkley (Kelly) of Hazlehurst, Jarone Brinkley (Crystal) of Hazlehurst, Joshua Brinkley of Hazlehurst and Blaine Foskey of Soperton; his brother, Terry Brinkley; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

The family will gather Friday, August, 30, 2019 at 6:00pm at 76 Spell Road for a Celebration of Life Honoring Mr. Brinkley. Darrell Johnson will be there to deliver the eulogy.

All family and friends of Mr. Brinkley are welcome to attend.
