Mrs. Geneva Newsome Horne, age 81, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, February 09, 2018 at Lumber City Nursing Home & Rehab. Mrs. Horne was born March 31, 1936 in Jeff Davis County to the late Otis Newsome and the late Ollie Powell Newsome. She was a homemaker and member of Southside Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lambert Horne and three sisters, Bonelle Horton, Lanelle Hand and Mildred Waters. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John Bookhardt of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Lisa Bohannon of Hazlehurst; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 12:00 and funeral services will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Andy Williams and Mr. Darrell Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Garden.
