Obituary

Mrs. Genia Sammons Clark, age 90, of Alamo, died Monday, July 16, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Clark was born February 10, 1928 in Wheeler County to the late Johnny Lawton Sammons and the late Viola Clark Sammons. She was a Homemaker and member of Springhill United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eschol Marion Clark. Survivors include one daughter, Christy Tanner (Tony) of Alamo; sons, Larry Clark (Elaine) of Alamo and David Clark of Alamo; brother, Lawton Sammons (Betty) of Cordele; three grandchildren, Chad Clark (Debbie), Brad Clark (Melissa) and Tamara Clark Richards (Shane); seven great-grandchildren, Nick R. Clark, Angel Faith Clark, Dawson Clark, Aubrey Clark, Noah Clark, Alayna Richards and Luke Richards; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11:00am at Springhill Methodist Church with Rev. Patrick Brannen officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence, 382 Sand Pit Road, Alamo. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Genia Sammons Clark, age 90, of Alamo.
