George Eason Jr., age 70, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, December 25, 2014, at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mr. Eason was born October 4, 1944 in Jeff Davis County to the late George Eason Sr. and the late Lucille Fryer Eason. He was retired from Propex and was an active member of The Disciples of Christ Church. Survivors include his wife, Louise Jackson Eason of Hazlehurst; Daughter, Kimmyer Baker of Hazlehurst; Three Sons, Tarron Eason of Ellenwood, Jervone Eason of Hazlehurst and Kenneth Eason of Atlanta; Three Sisters, Jackie Hall of Baxley, Gloria Sanders of Atlanta and Betty Eason of Arizona; Four Brothers, Henry M. Hall, Sr. and Lonnie Hall both of Hazlehurst and Ronnie Eason and Charlie Eason both of Cleveland, OH.; Eleven Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren also survived. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 1:00pm at The Disciples of Christ Church with Apostle Cortez Eady officiating. Interment will follow in the Hall-Wilcox Cemetery. Mr. Eason will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. The family may be contacted at the residence, 58 Fox Circle, Hazlehurst.
