George Lamar Holton, age 77, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Lumber City Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Holton was born August 26, 1938 in Bacon County to the late Thomas Holton and the late Avie Medders Holton. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, retired farmer and member of the Unity Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Hughes Holton. Survivors include his Sons and Daughter-in-Law, Cale and Joyce Holton and Kim Holton both of Hazlehurst; Three Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Holton Cemetery in Bacon County with Rev. Steve Toler officiating.
