Ms. Georgia Mae McDaniel Sharpe, age 80, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, March 13, 2020 at her residence.

Ms. Sharpe was born February 08, 1940 in Jeff Davis County to the late Otho McDaniel and the late Inez Carter McDaniel. She was a retired Dietician with Jeff Davis Hospital and a member of Oak View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Wilbur Parlor.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Smith of Hazlehurst; son, Jeffrey Sharpe of Hazlehurst; siblings, Aaron McDaniel (Marilyn), Corine Sellers (Herman), Cherry Claxton (E.H.)  and Lydia Parlor  all of Hazlehurst;  Grandchildren, Brandon Smith (Anna), Ryan Sharpe, Rylee Sharpe and Laycoln Georgia Sharpe; great-grandchildren, Noah Smith and Brooklyn Smith; several nieces and nephews also survived.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 11:00am at Oak View Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Glosson and Rev. Keith Yawn officiating.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Ms. Sharpe will lie in state one hour prior to service.
